Project: role play: planning a trip

Pre task: flipped classroom: 

While you are watching the video:

-Answer then questions 

-Write down the different expressions they have used in the video

Task

In pairs you are going to prepare a trip and develop a real conversation in which you are planning the different things you need to carry and the different steps you have to follow. 

Remember that you have to share  the destination and you can use the expressions from the clip.

Post task

Self assessment worksheet regarding fluency, range of vocabulary, correct use of grammar…


Lesson objectives and materials

Language Level:

Lower Intermediate, with adaptations for beginning and advanced language learners

Materials:

Encourage students for weeks prior to this lesson to bring in location-specific items such as travel guides (in any language), maps, vacation brochures, souvenirs, photos and the different items they are going tampoco use depending on the destination.  They must have access to the Internet. Make sure the items are identified by the student’s name.

These items will be used in the Travel Show and Tell portion of this lesson.

Time:

This project can take about 3 days.

Objectives:

Students will be able to:

− Produce a role play with useful information about a region, country, city, or town.

− Focus on a particular grammar point based on the language.

− Present their travel information to the class in a 5 minute group presentation.

    I would like to give an advice so you can access the information easily and fastest. I used in my blog the gadget list to organice the different post by skill. It helps me a lot when I´m going to prepare an activity because I can access directly to the post related with the skill that I want to work.
